I am just curious it just seems wrong .....he the only one with out a doctrate hahaha

Good questions.... maybe he'll get one this season. Then again, as an engineer he feels a Masters is all he needs for his job. It is pretty funny tho when he tried to defend himself. Zeypher 08:51, August 4, 2011 (UTC)

I don't think he will. The series is better served by giving us one more reason to laugh at him. Tbug 23:54, August 4, 2011 (UTC)

I agree. Engineers don't normally require PhDs unless they are seeking tenured teaching positions. Also, despite the abuse Howards gets for lacking a doctorate, he is the only practical, hands on guy in the group. Any scheme using systems and hardware requires the Howard Touch. I doubt he will, I think it's going to be a running theme throughout the lifetime of the show, plus theres room for the writers to add more jokes in^.^ Heather^.^ 20:33, February 20, 2012 (UTC)

I think it would be an interesting subplot for a season, but I doubt the writers will ever do such a thing. In terms of character growth, Howard has been one of the more successful of the group, so it seems like this idea would be placed on the back burner. Other things will likely become first, such as Raj overcoming his fear of talking to women, or Sheldon advancing his relationship with Amy to a slightly more intimate, albeit awkward state.

While I agree with the idea of it being a good way to mock Howard, I do feel it would be a good way to end the show wit it being announced on the last/last but one show. Lee
